Despite reports that Oscar Pistorius is being treated "like royalty" in prison, another report has surfaced that he is crying himself to sleep at night.

This, according to his 91-year-old grandmother.

Prison time easy for Oscar Pistorius?

The Daily Mail reported that Gerti Pistorius has said that she "prays for" and "is proud of" her 28-year-old grandson in the wake of the two-year anniversary of Pistorius killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

Pistorius' grandmother lives just two miles from the Kgosi Mampuru II prison in Pretoria where Pistorius is being held and serving a five-year culpable homicide charge in the shooting death of Steenkamp in the early morning hours of Valentine's Day in 2013.

Gerti told the Daily Mail, "We pray for Oscar, we love Oscar, and we are very, very proud of Oscar. He is the same wonderful boy he always has been."

Except that Pistorius still cries himself to sleep at night, even after four months in prison, his grandmother said.

Oscar's brother Carl said in December that the double-amputee Olympic sprinter spends 17 hours of his day in his roughly 6-by-8 foot cell. He gets one hour to work out and one hour outside. Oscar gets one 45-minute visit per week.

The Daily Mail added that Gerti would not go with the family on their annual Christmas vacation last year, saying "I must stay close to Oscar. I'll go next year, when he can be with us."

Pistorius was to spend 10 months in prison and then enter house arrest for the remainder of his sentence. But those plans are on hold, thanks to prosecutor Gerrie Nel's successful appeal of his original sentence.

Nel may take the case to the Supreme Court of Appeals and try again to get a murder conviction, which could add 10 years to Pistorius' sentence.
