Aaron Hernandez, the ex-New England Patriots star tight end who stands accused of orchestrating the murder of Odin Lloyd, and pulling the trigger in his shooting death, may face testimony against him from his fiancée Shayanna Jenkins. Follow the Day 7 of the court proceedings free here.

Shayanna Jenkins, whose sister Shaneah was dating Lloyd at the time of his murder, has been granted immunity by the prosecution, which removes her ability to plead the Fifth Amendment. The move by the prosecution means Jenkins, if called, must testify or face contempt of court. She cannot incriminate herself with her own testimony, however the immunity doesn’t cover her against perjury if she isn’t truthful on the witness stand.

The move also doesn’t guarantee that Jenkins, who has been seen mouthing “I love you” to Hernandez at points during the trial, will testify against him.

His fiancée is accused of hiding the weapon used to fatally shoot Lloyd, which still has not been recovered. She is facing perjury charges already for previously testifying that she “didn’t remember” what she did with a trash bag that Hernandez asked her to get rid of.

"She was asked what she did to the item that Mr. Hernandez instructed her to get rid of; she repeatedly told the grand jury that she couldn't remember, she didn't know, she'd thrown it in a dumpster, and she couldn't tell anybody where it was,” prosecutors said this summer.

They also claimed they know "how, why and the manner in which she removed the items from the home."
