Tonight at 8 p.m. ET, the Buffalo Sabres (14-29-3, 31 points) and Detroit Red Wings (25-11-9, 59 points) face-off for the fourth and final time this season live from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. Buffalo has lost 10 straight games and is still looking for its first win in 2015 while Detroit has been on a roll, picking up victories in its last three games as it opens a three-match homestand.

The Red Wings enter play holding onto the third and final automatic playoff spot in the Atlantic Division while the Sabres sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference and are tied for the least amount of point in the NHL.

Detroit has taken two of three meetings with the Sabres this season, including the last game between these two teams where it won 3-1 on Jan. 13.

The Sabres are coming in off of a 4-3 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday and haven't notched a victory since a 4-3 shootout triumph over the New York Islanders on Dec. 27.

Tyler Ennis has paced Buffalo with 25 points off of 10 goals and 15 assists. All-Star Zemgus Girgensons is second on the Sabres with 22 points off of 13 goals and nine assists while Drew Stafford has found the back of the net six times and added 15 helpers for 21 points.

The Red Wings enter play on a roll and are coming in off of a 5-2 victory over the Central Division-leading Nashville Predators on Saturday.

Henrik Zetterberg leads Detroit with 37 points off of 11 goals and 26 assists. Pavel Datsyuk is second on the Red Wings with 34 ponts off of 15 tallies and 19 helpers while Tomas Tatar has lit the lamp a team-best 20 times and added 12 assists for 32 points this season.

In net, with Jimmy Howard sidelined, Detroit is likely to turn to Petr Mrazek and he is 8-3-1 with a 2.12 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage this season.

Buffalo is likely to counter with Jonas Enroth and he is 11-16-2 with a 3.33 GAA and a .903 save percentage.

The Sabres and Red Wings clash for the final time this season when the puck drops tonight at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
