Tonight at 8 p.m. ET, the San Jose Sharks (20-14-5, 45 points) and Winnipeg Jets (20-12-7, 47 points) face-off for the second of three meetings this season live from the Molson Centre in Winnipeg. San Jose has lost four of its last five games and kicks off a three-match road trip while Winnipeg has dropped two of its last three contests and closes out a four-game road trip.

The Sharks blanked the Jets 3-0 the first time these two teams met on Oct. 11.

This is a matchup between two wild-card teams as San Jose is clinging to the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference while Winnipeg holds the top spot with a two-point lead over their opponents.

The Sharks are coming off of a 7-2 drubbing at the hands of the St. Louis Blues on Saturday and will be without Joe Thornton (upper-body), who is tied for the team lead with 33 points off of nine goals and 24 assists.

Joe Pavelski is tied with Thornton with 33 points 20 markers and 13 helpers while Logan Couture has lit the lamp 14 times and added 17 assists for 31 points.

The Jets are coming off of a 5-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.

Andrew Ladd leads the team with 31 points off of 14 goals and 17 assists while Bryan Little has 15 tallies and 15 helpers for 30 points and Blake Wheeler has found the twine 11 times and added 18 assists for 29 points.

In net, Winnipeg is likely to turn to Ondrej Pavelec, who is 10-9-5 with a 2.40 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage.

San Jose is likely to counter with Antti Niemi and he is 15-9-4 with a 2.53 GAA and a .914 save percentage.

The Sharks and the Jets play in the NHL's lone Monday night game when the puck drops at the Molson Centre in Winnipeg.
