Today at 12:30 p.m. ET on ESPN a matchup fit for the College Football Playoff will get underway from the Georgia Dome, when the No. 9 Ole Miss Runnin' Rebels (9-3) take on the No. 6 TCU Horned Frogs (11-1) for the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl. Live stream the game free by clicking this link.

Despite moving to the Big 12, putting together a nearly flawless season, and winning a share of the conference title with a dominant performance, TCU found themselves standing out in the cold once again for a shot at the national championship.

TCU athletic director Chris Del Conte refused to be downtrodden when asked about the disappointment he felt being in this bowl game instead of the Top 4.

"We've been talking about TCU since Oct. 28, it's been fantastic," Del Conte said. "We wanted college football to be at the forefront of America and it has been. It's not time to panic. I thought the committee did a phenomenal job. Would we have liked to be in the four? Absolutely."

TCU rode a high-powered offense to its 11-1 record, but Ole Miss' defense will be a difficult roadblock for Trevone Boykin and co. Ole Miss has only allowed 13 points per game this season, and was the only team able to upset the No 1 Alabama Crimson Tide.

They knew their shot at a playoff spot was spoiled after a few losses, so they don't have to battle the letdown factor that TCU does. Horned Frogs coach Gary Patterson insisted that his team is up for this matchup.

We feel like this is a playoff game," Patterson said. "Ole Miss was as high as third in the nation, they play at a very high level."
