Notre Dame's 2014 season may not have met their preseason playoff aspirations, but when it comes to the program's bank account their still one of the most dominant programs in the nation.

New York Giants Interested in Brian Kelly?

Forbes magazine released its annual rankings of college football's most financially lucrative programs, and the Fighting Irish clocked in at number two, just behind the University of Texas Longhorns.

The publication valued Notre Dame at about $122 million dollars per annum, $9 million behind UT and $5 million ahead of the third place Michigan Wolverines. The Alabama Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers closed out the top five. Coincidentally, Notre Dame and LSU will be facing off against one another in this year's Music City Bowl.

Brian Kelly Expects Things To Get 'Physical' Against LSU

The Irish's $122 million dollar number is a $5 million dollar spike from last year's valuation.

Coach Kelly's 2014 squad started strong, racing out to a 6-0 record and and a top 10 ranking in the FCS. However, they crumbled down the stretch, losing five of their last six games, while giving up opposing scores of 31, 55, 43, 31, and 49 in the process. Kelly is rumored to explore options on the NFL level this offseason.
