Johnny Football Mania in Cleveland never really caught on in 2014.
A season that began with dollar sign gestures and a lot of promise has ended a week early, as Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine told reporters on Monday that Manziel will miss the team's Week 17 finale with a bad hamstring. Manziel exited mid-game with that injury during Sunday's match-up versus the Carolina Panthers, and he did not return.

It's an ignominious end to Johnny Football's rookie season. The former Heisman Trophy winner made two starts in 2014; one of them was historically bad, the other merely pedestrian. His lone on-field highlight of the year was a single rushing touchdown against the Buffalo Bills in November.
