Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez's stay at Real Madrid will be short lived according to the Spanish press (via the Express). Per the reports, manager Carlo Ancelotti will not ask Hernandez to stay in Spain and leave the striker free to sign a pre-contract agreement with potential suitors in the January transfer window.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton and Tottenham are all said to be interested.

The 26-year-old striker joined Manchester United in 2010 for a modest £6 million, but failed to cement a role at Old Trafford. His contract is due to expire in the summer of 2015, leaving the window open for a premature contract in January.

Prior to Madrid's encounter with Ludogorets, Ancelotti was adamant that Hernande'z near-future remained at the Santiago Bernabeu, but that was more due to FIFA guidelines than anything else. Only a return to Manchester was available for the Mexican international.

When addressing the situation, the Real Madrid boss said (via Marca): "He is fully aware of his role in the team. Our strikers are obviously doing a great job. He's had some time in the Spanish Cup and he'll get some more in the Champions League against Ludogorets."

"I've already said we aren't going to sign anybody [in January]," Ancelotti added. "Therefore, nobody is leaving, either."

Hernandez failed to impress in said Champions League match against Ludogorets, finishing his 90-minute shift with zero goals and only 1.9 percent of Madrid's touches. No longer the caliber player synonymous with the Galacticos, his future is best served with a second-tier Premier League team the likes of Liverpool or Tottenham.
