AJ Lee Comments On Husband CM Punk Joining UFC

There was reportedly a lot of talk behind the scenes over whether or not Punk will be successful in his new endeavor and a lot of talk over how he's gotten more attention over the last few weeks with his podcast appearance and subsequent UFC announcement than he ever has in wrestling.

Punk left the WWE last January due to frustration over the way the company was handling his injuries and due to being annoyed over the fact that he was stifled creatively in 2011 when he was building momentum.

The "Best in the World" was then released from the WWE and received his termination papers over the summer on the same day he was set to marry WWE Diva AJ Lee.

Punk appeared on Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast two weeks ago and revealed the story behind his departure while bashing the WWE, Vince McMahon, Triple H and Ryback during the exchange.

Punk then shocked the world with Lee by his side on Saturday night in Las Vegas as he revealed he signed a multi-year deal with UFC.

The former WWE Superstar is expected to take some time to train and likely won't compete in the octagon for another six or seven months. Punk was mostly quiet since leaving the WWE, but he revealed all he's kept bottled up the last 11 months on the podcast and continues to make waves.

While Punk won't fight for a while, a lot of fighters are chomping at the bit to get in the cage with him and an Indie wrestler even recently commented on wanting to fight him.

Scorpio Sky, who appeared in WWE as Harold during some Daniel Bryan and Kane segments in the past and has fought in three amateur MMA fights, noted on Twitter that he is open to fighting the "Best in the World."

Punk has continuously set the internet world abuzz lately as he finally came out with the story behind his departure and followed it up by joining UFC.
