Luke Donald's play was interrupted by a baboon. Yes, you read that correctly.

The 36-year-old Englishman and former world No. 1 was playing his Friday round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa, when a real life Rafiki came ambling out of nowhere directly in line with his shot.

Naturally startled, Donald took a big step back to allow the creature to continue on his merry way. He (and the Challenge's TV announcers) had a big laugh over the incident once it was over.

This isn't the first time some wayward wildlife has made its way onto a golf course in the middle of the action. Here are a few other examples.

A pack of kangaroos crashed the Women's Australian Open...

Sharks...talk about a water hazard...

There was a good-old fashioned gator sighting in Louisiana...

A swiss fox that steals golf balls...

One time a baby bear did a pole dance routine (sort of)...

And Pablo Larrazabal once had to flee into a lake to escape a traveling swarm of hornets!
