Sarfraz Ahmed's unbeaten 76 steered Pakistan to a seven-wicket win in the first T20 against New Zealand in Dubai. There's little doubt that the Black Caps will be out for retribution in this second of two T20 previews, before the teams begin an ODI series next week.

Ahmend's previous high was five runs. Pakistan's coach Waqar Younis praised the batsman for coming "out of his shell."

"Freedom has been given to him to play the way he plays," said Younis, via ESPN. He has been coming good for Pakistan, he has been in a very good nick, so it's good to take advantage of that form he is in."

New Zealand, meanwhile, has won their last five series -- they're too talented not to bounce back in this match.
