Charles Barkley does not care for social media, and he has no problem telling explaining why he feels that way. The hall of fame power forward is a popular NBA analyst, and many have wondered why they can never seem to find him on Twitter or Instagram.

According to media reports, Barkley avoids social media because he does not want to deal with the opinions of the masses and have his every move criticized, saying, "I don't want to talk to those idiots."

Anyone who does use Twitter can certainly understand where he is coming from, even if they do not agree with him.

It does seem like there are always a lot of people who are only interested in reacting negatively to what the talking heads on sports shows have to say. For every positive mention or bit of feedback, there are multiple negative comments about how wrongheaded a person is being.

Barkley goes on to explain that he is steadfastly against any social media platform, and he goes on to say, "I don't feel the need to talk to every idiot in America." He later added, "I can't worry what everybody think about me. Everybody has their own opinion."

Barkley has always been known for expressing his thoughts and then sticking to his guns, even during his playing days. He has taken criticism recently for his comments about the happenings in Ferguson, where he said that the people looting are "not real black people, those are scumbags."

Unsurprisingly, social media users lashed out at Barkley for his controversial take.
