Rachel DeMita's star continues to rise within the NBA's online mediasphere.

A former female McDonald's All American and Old Dominion college player turned NBA analyst, DeMita became a household name amongst NBA fans when the gossip site TerezOwens reported that she was an alleged love interest of reigning MVP Kevin Durant.

However, DeMita has justly earned praise and built a large social media following on the strength of her knowledge of the game as well. She was recently tapped as the host of the new NBA2K TV project, and she gained plenty of attention for her impassioned defense of Derrick Rose on Twitter this month.

And, as of Monday, fans now have two other avenues with which to hear DeMita's insights on all things NBA. Early in the afternoon, the mega-popular podcast team Hardwood Hustle announced that DeMita was becoming a recurring guest on the program starting this month.

"We are excited to announce the addition of Rachel DeMita to the Hardwood Hustle team," the website said in a statement released online. "Rachel will bring a new & unique perspective to some of the biggest topics in basketball today."

“I’m really excited to be joining A&A on Hardwood Hustle," DeMita herself said. "I hope my unique experiences as a female ball player can add another dimension to the conversation. I’m looking forward to discussing my views and personal stories on some of the game’s most thought provoking topics."

In addition to DeMita's new gig with Hardwood Hustle, NBA2K also released seven episodes of NBA2K TV on YouTube, with DeMita serving as host in each installment. Although she interviews personalities like Shaq, Ernie Johnson, and Chris Kaman in later editions, there was one marquee name reserved for her debut episode.
