Stephen Curry is having another stellar season for the Golden State Warriors, but he may be thinking about relocating once his contract is up. Curry is from North Carolina, and he recently commented about the possibility of returning to his home state and joining the Charlotte Hornets.

Carmelo Says Bulls Were Perfect For Him

According to media reports, Curry likes the idea of playing for his hometown team. His father, Dell Curry, also played for the Charlotte Hornets during his NBA career. Steph sounds like he likes the idea of following in his father's footsteps once he becomes a free agent.

"That's hard to get out of your head, but obviously, it has no bearing on decisions that I make down the road," said Curry about the prospect of playing for Charlotte. "It's just a fun thought to have. The Hornets name does mean a lot to my family, and obviously I'm starting a new thing with the Warriors. I definitely feel right at home here (with Golden State)."

Why Cleveland Is Struggling

The Warriors are doing well so far this season. They are currently 13-2 and sit a half game behind the Memphis Grizzlies for the best record in the NBA. The Warriors have excelled on both ends of the court all year, and Curry has put up great individual numbers, averaging 24.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game.

Curry may end up being the third NBA star to relocate to his hometown team when he becomes a free agent in 2017. LeBron James made headlines when he left the Miami Heat and returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers this offseason, and there is speculation that Kevin Durant may return home to the Washington, D.C. area when his contract is up in 2016.
