After months of speculation, TNA has announced a new multi-year deal with Discovery Channel's Destination America network, which will begin airing Impact Wrestling in January 2015.

With the announcement came a video to reveal that TNA Impact Wrestling will live on past Spike TV on its new network home.

"Coming in January 2015, Impact Wrestling on Destination America," the voiceover said in the video, which showcased TNA wrestlers.

TNA also made an announcement in the form of a press release:

"Discovery Communications announced today that it has signed a multi-year deal with TNA (Total Nonstop Action) IMPACT WRESTLING to bring the popular league to homes nationwide on Destination America, the only network dedicated to celebrating the people, places and stories of the United States," the release, which can be read in its entirety at Wrestlingheadlines.com, stated. "Destination America officially enters the ring with its first world premiere of IMPACT WRESTLING in January 2015."

It continued: "The series features some of the biggest names in professional wrestling, including Jeff Hardy, Bobby Roode, Kurt Angle, Bobby Lashley and Gail Kim. The partnership includes the U.S. premieres of additional TNA WRESTLING series and specials and provides Discovery Communications with international broadcasting rights in select regions, to be announced at a later date."

TNA president Dixie Carter also commented on the company striking a new television deal.

"We are very excited about Destination America being the new network for IMPACT WRESTLING and the partnership with Discovery Communications both domestically and across the globe," Carter said. "Their commitment to promote and grow our brand in innovative and compelling ways was instrumental in knowing we had found the right home. Together we will create an experience that takes our fans on a new journey that will push the envelope of technology, including where we take our cameras, going deeper into our superstars' lives and showing the reality of what it takes to create a weekly professional wrestling show, all while showcasing the very best male and female athletes in the world."

It was originally announced earlier this year that Spike TV would be dropping Impact Wrestling from its network in October, but the station opted to be a good partner and keep it on through 2015 while the organization searched for a new network home for its flagship show.

Many different networks were linked to bringing TNA on board and there was even speculation that Impact Wrestling may remain on Spike TV, but in the end Destination America became the new network home.

It is expected that TNA's final new episode of Impact Wrestling on Spike TV will air this week as the company hasn't filmed any other future editions and will be preempted Thanksgiving week. There is nothing filmed for December, so it is likely that Impact Wrestling won't be back until January.

After a lot of rumors and speculation, Impact Wrestling now has a new home on Destination America starting in January 2015.
