After tearing a ligament in his thumb back in October, Nick Young recently returned to the practice court. According to an article in the Los Angeles Times, Young, also known as Swaggy P, is aiming to play in his first game of the season tomorrow night when the Lakers travel to Atlanta to face the Hawks.

"Get your popcorn ready," said Young regarding his imminent return. Lakers coach Byron Scott attempted to manage expectations a little bit when he explained that Young still has to be cleared by the team's medical staff before he can actually take the court for a game. Assuming that he is cleared to play, Young is expected to wear a protective brace over his right hand to protect the thumb.

Young's return could not come at a better time for the struggling Lakers. They are off to the worst start in franchise history, sitting at 1-9, and they are easily the worst defensive team in the league. Speculation has already started that the Lakers may have to drastically improve their level of play just to avoid unseating the 1972-73 Philadelphia 76ers as the worst NBA team in history.

Although he is just now gearing up for a return to the court, Young still managed to make headlines recently, as he and his rapper girlfriend Iggy Azalea recently purchased a home that was formerly owned by Selena Gomez. Azalea is known for her hit songs "Fancy" and "Problem," and she is nominated for several American Music Awards, including Artist of the Year and Favorite Artist - Rap/Hip-Hop.
