The Chicago Bears are preparing for a game against the rival Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, but that may not be the only fight that wide receiver Brandon Marshall is getting ready for.

Marshall, 30, had a back-and-forth conversation on Twitter with a fan of the division rival Detroit Lions and it led to a $25,000 wager between the two that could very well lead to them mixing it up in the ring

The Lions fan got on Marshall for calling the Lions the Bears' "little brother" last November and even attacked him personally by calling his mother a "wh--e."

After the Lions fan insulted Marshall and his mother, the wide receiver offered a wager by challenging the fan to step in the ring with him for a fight.

Marshall said the fan could go one-on-one with him if he put up $5,000, later adding that if he lost, Marshall would throw him another $10,000. Marshall added the stipulation that if he won, the fan would have to work 100 hours at a local orphanage. The Detroit fan than raised the ante, saying that if Marshall made it $25,000 he'd step in the ring. The wide receiver obliged on Twitter.

Marshall also said that the fan needed to apologize to his mom and got on the fan after he didn't immediately respond to him raising his offer to $25K.

"Deal or no deal bro? This is your chance to back up your talk and make 25k," the receiver tweeted.

The fan then said that in order for the fight to take place, the Bears will have to win three more games.

After word of this charity fight offer was met with different opinions from people, Marshall took to Twitter to calm everyone down.

"Looks like people took my boxing match for charity too serious. #chill," he wrote.

The Lions are anything but the Bears little brother this season as the team paces the NFC North with a 7-2 record while the Bears are in fourth place with a 3-6 mark. The Vikings, meanwhile, are 4-5 thus far and come into Soldier Field this Sunday.

Detroit, meanwhile, visits the 8-1 Cardinals in Arizona for Week 11 action.

With the outside distraction seemingly over with, Marshall will turn his attention back to the gridiron where he has amassed 42 receptions for 496 yards and six touchdowns thus far this season.
