Rachel A DeMita, NBA2KTV host and rumored girlfriend of Oklahoma City superstar Kevin Durant, released a new vlog on YouTube Wednesday defending Bulls point guard Derrick Rose from his harshest critics.

Rose had caused a stir recently with earlier comments that he was intentionally sitting out of some games in order to better manage his long term health. These comments did not sit well with some fans, but DeMita urged them to reconsider their negative positions.

"I think a lot of times what the general person or the general consumer who hasn't played basketball, played sports at a high level...they think of pro athletes or machines or robots or people who make millions of dollars, so if they make millions of dollars they should just be happy," DeMita said. "Millions of dollars that Derrick Rose is making or is projected to make may not be making him the happiest Derrick Rose he can be."

DeMita also spoke at length about her decision to stop playing basketball while a student athlete at Old Dominion over similar health concerns as Rose, which she called "the hardest decision of my entire life."

Rose's original comments were made to ESPN Chicago. He said:

"I felt like I've been managing myself pretty good. I know a lot of people get mad when they see me sit out or whatever, but I think a lot of people don't understand that ... when I sit out it's not because of this year.

"I'm thinking about long term. I'm thinking about after I'm done with basketball. Having graduations to go to, having meetings to go to, I don't want to be in my meetings all sore or be at my son's graduation all sore just because of something I did in the past. [I'm] just learning and being smart."
