The No. 12 Baylor Bears travel to Norman as they take on the No. 15 Oklahoma Sooners in the first of six matchups between ranked opponents.

Baylor coach Art Briles spoke about his quarterback Bryce Petty and how he responded in the Bears victory last week. He said that he is proud of Petty for his bounce-back play and he expects big things from him this weekend and going forward.

"He's in a mode where it's kind of a no-nonsense mentality," Briles said of his quarterback, who was 15 of 27 for 277 yards against the Jayhawks. "So I certainly appreciate that part of it."

"It would be big from the standpoint that we're trying to establish ourselves just like everybody else in this league as a team that can sustain," Briles said.

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops spoke about Baylor and gave his opponent numerous compliments and said that this will be a game that could define the Sooners season.

"I'll say this -- to their credit, they played really hard," Stoops said. "They competed. They were chasing people downfield trying to block. It's a lot to build on. I'm not ragging on them. It just needs to be better. But I was excited to see them compete the way they did.”

Oklahoma will look to play spoiler for the Bears and they both look to take a step toward a Big 12 championship in the coming weeks.

Oklahoma leads the all-time series against Baylor 21-2, but the Bears have taken two of the last three after years of Sooner dominance. Baylor beat Oklahoma 41-12 last season.
