The No. 21 Clemson Tigers take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in an ACC matchup on this week's edition of Thursday Night Football.

The Clemson Tigers have rattled off five-straight wins after their loss to then-No. 1 Florida State on September 20 and now they find themselves among the top 25 according to the College Football Playoff Selection Committee. The Tigers have only dropped two games this season and both have been to top 15 opponents.

Clemson must survive on the road against Wake Forest and then they have a matchup against No. 24 Georgia Tech, a game in which they can prove they belong in the top 25. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said that his team is battle tested and they are finally being recognized for their efforts.

"We keep finding ways," said Swinney, whose team also has been hit with injuries in the backfield, on the offensive line and within the receiver corps.

"This is a battle-tested group. They're tough-minded.”

Wake Forest is going through some growing pains with first-year coach Dave Clawson and have only totaled two wins this season. They have hung tough with the likes of Louisville and Boston College, but have had their doors blown off against then-No. 1 Florida State.

"We're learning some painful lessons," Clawson said.

"We've got a lot of things to clean up. We're early in this process and if we can establish effort as a starting point then we are headed in the right direction.”

Clemson has dominated the all-series against Wake Forest 61-17-1 and the Tigers have taken three-straight agains the Demon Deacons. Wake Forest’s last win against Clemson came in 2008 when the Demon Deacons took a 12-7 game from the Tigers.
