The NFL has announced the next slate of games in London and it features the event’s first divisional matchup.
The NFL announced that the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins will face off October 4, 2015, in Week 4. The Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars will meet on October 25 in Week 7, and the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs will play November 1 in Week 8.
Adrian Peterson Denied Immediate Reinstatement by NFL
NFL executive vice president of international Mark Waller released a statement concerning the new slate of games.
"We believe we have a great 2015 schedule that will continue to attract new fans to our sport and strengthen the bonds with our existing fans,'' Waller said. ”To provide U.K. fans the opportunity to see games on consecutive weekends, to see new teams, and to attend a division game, which feature some of the most passionate rivalries in our sport, are signs of the growth and depth of our U.K. fan base.’’
The November 1 game for the Chiefs and Lions is rumored to be the second game in NFL history to start at 9:30 a.m. The Dolphins hosting a divisional matchup in London is a interesting move for the NFL that will likely come with an incentive for Miami.
