The Bowling Green Falcons and Akron Zips start Week 11 of the college football season with a MAC conference game on Tuesday Night Football.

Bowling Green comes into this game with a one game lead on Akron for first place in the MAC Western Division. Bowling Green is coming off their first conference loss of the season against the Western Michigan Broncos (6-3, 4-1) 41-10. The Falcons now find themselves in first place by one game over the Zips and another loss will set them back if they want to win their division.

The Zips have lost two-straight to Ball State and Ohio by a total of 17 points and had a three game winning streak prior to that. The Zips can claim a share of first place in the division with a win. If the Zips pull off the victory tonight, they have a smooth schedule the rest of the way as they play 3-5 Buffalo, 2-7 Massachusetts and 1-7 Kent State to close out the season.

Both these teams trail Toledo and Western Michigan in the MAC, but with four more weeks to play, the winner of this game Tuesday has the inside track in the Western Division.

Bowling Green leads the all-time series against Akron 13-7 and the Falcons have taken five-straight from the Zips. Bowling Green beat Akron 31-14 last season and the Zips last factory versus the Falcons was in 2006.
