Christy Mack has been quiet on social media after news broke about her ex-boyfriend War Machine's suicide attempt, but that changed Monday when she got into an argument on Twitter after seeing insensitive comments about domestic violence.
War Machine Posts Journal Entry Written Before Suicide Attempt on Twitter
Mack, born Christine Mackinday, was the subject of a brutal assault at the hands of War Machine, born Jonathan Koppenhaver, in August. Koppenhaver is currently in jail awaiting trial, being held under medical isolation after attempting to hang himself in his cell two weeks ago.
Mackinday saw a comment on Twitter that read, "So excited to be the best Christy Mack & War Machine couple for Halloween! Wouldn't have wanted to be beaten up by anyone else." As can be expected, she responded harshly to a user named Francesca Lynn, who has since deleted her tweet, saying, "No, how about you go f--- yourself. Domestic abuse is not a joke. But I'm glad you got entertainment from people's pain."

A user with the Twitter handle @cutterpinciaro responded and apparently in now-deleted tweets. It can be inferred that the user referenced Mackinday's past as an adult film star because she responded saying:
@cutterpinciaro there's a difference between having sex and thinking women getting beaten by men is funny, don't you think?

The user also might have defended Lynn because Mackinday responded to another tweet saying, "Obviously, they think domestic violence is entertaining. I hope they don't feel the same when someone they know is in a similar situation." And then she replied to another deleted tweet saying:
@cutterpinciaro she thinks the best costume is to be a battered woman. If I had died like many others, would it be as funny of a costume? — Christy Mack (@ChristyMack) October 27, 2014
Finally, a user named Nicolas Martin questioned why she was only donating money to charities that helped female victims and not ones that help male victims of domestic violence, to which she replied:
@nsmartinworld yes, let me go on a crusade for men's rights right now. That exactly what I want to do...

Koppenhaver faces 32 felony counts, including two counts of attempted murder, and pleaded not guilty at his first court appearance in September. He is accused of attacking Mack, born Christine Mackinday, and Corey Thomas in her Las Vegas home on Aug. 8. The alleged assault left Mackinday with multiple injuries including a lacerated liver, 18 broken bones and two missing teeth.
