Colts owner Jim Irsay is cleared to return to the team on Friday after serving his six-game suspension as a result of violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Irsay is set to join the team after their Thursday Night Football game against the Houston Texans. He was suspended after pleading guilty in September to a misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated. Irsay admitted to driving while under the influence of painkillers on March 16 and plead guilty.

Irsay’s made a formal apology in September after he was handed his suspension.

"I acknowledge the mistake I made last March and stand responsible for the consequences of that mistake, for which I sincerely apologize to our community and to Colts fans everywhere," Irsay said in a statement in September. "Even more importantly, though, I am committed to do everything in my power to turn this whole experience into a positive event for myself, my family, and the community.”

The Colts are 3-2 after starting 0-2 on the season and quarterback Andrew Luck has the inside track on the MVP Award through the season’s first quarter.
