The Dolphins and coach Joe Philbin have been discussing benching quarterback Ryan Tannehill, but multiple Dolphin players say they have been told that he will be the starter going forward.
Coach Philbin did not commit to a quarterback for the second consecutive day, but many Dolphin players say they have been told that Tannehill will be the starter when Miami plays the Oakland Raiders in London. Wide receiver Rishard Matthews told The Associated Press that Tannehill has taken all the first-team reps at practice and backup Matt Moore has not seen any time with the starters.

Wide receiver Mike Wallace spoke to the media Tuesday and said that he has seen Tannehill’s moral at it's worst, but that the three-year veteran hasn't had any dip in confidence.
"I think he's fine,'' Wallace said. "Since I've been here I've never seen Ryan, good, bad or indifferent, act any different at the end of any game. He's been the same as when I first met him and I have enough to worry about with my own position and trying to do well. I can't worry about what coach is going to do. Whoever coach puts out there that's who we're going to roll with and we're going to be behind him 100 percent no matter who it is, even if it's me at quarterback.’'
The Dolphins stand at 1-2 after losing 34-15 to the previously winless Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Tannehill has thrown for 624 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions in three games and is on pace to set career lows in completion percentage (56.5) and passer rating (74.1).
Tannehill is 16-19 as the starter of the Miami Dolphins and the team departs for London on Thursday.
