Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin is expected to miss the team’s Thursday Night Football matchup with the Atlanta Falcons due to a knee injury.
According to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, the Buccaneers running back will test his injured knee during pre game warmups Thursday, but it not expected to play for Tampa Bay.

Martin missed the Buccaneers 19-17 loss to the St. Louis Rams due to the knee injury and now is expected to miss his second consecutive contest. Martin has only appeared in seven games since the the start of the 2013 season after having a breakout rookie season in 2012.
Bobby Rainey is expected to get majority of the carries for the Buccaneers Thursday and will have Mike James as his backup.
Martin has rushed for nine yards on nine carries this season and is coming off a torn labrum in his left shoulder that he suffered in 2013. Martin was the No. 23 ranked fantasy running back for Week 3 before the injury according to ESPN. Rainey (No. 32) is expected to be a top-15 option at running back in the event Martin does not play.
