Former WWE and WCW star Sean O'Haire, whose real name is Sean Haire, passed away Monday at age 43 and his cause of death was revealed while the WWE has issued a statement.

TMZ reports that O'Haire's cause of death was suicide by hanging. O'Haire's body was discovered by his father and he had a rope tied around his neck that was connected to his bed post. His father called 9-11 after finding him, but it was too late.

Triple H was promoting Thursday's NXT Takeover 2 on Wednesday and acknowledged O'Haire's passing on a media call.

"As everybody knows, I'd like to personally address my condolences to Sean O'Haire's family, his friends and his fans," Triple H said, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com. "It's a tragedy and I wanted to take a moment to offer my condolences on behalf of myself and WWE."

The WWE issued a statement about O'Haire's passing.

"WWE extends its condolences to Sean Christopher Haire's family, friends and fans on his passing," the company said in a statement per Wrestlingheadlines.com. "Haire performed under the name "Sean O'Haire," and was under contract with WWE from 2001-2004."

O'Haire started his wrestling career in WCW in 2000 and remained in the company until it was bought out by the WWE in 2001. He then joined the WWE and was a part of the organization until he was released in 2004, shortly following a motorcycle accident.

Along with stints in WCW and WWE, O'Haire was also a part of New Japan Pro Wrestling and was involved in mixed martial arts and kick boxing during his career.

O'Haire was a three-time WCW Tag Team Champion.
