Caroline Wozniacki has refused to let her tennis career get tangled up in her personal life. But she forgot to have a talk with her hair.
The Danish tennis star lost a point during her second-round match with Belarus' Alaiksandra Sasnovich at the U.S. Open on Wednesday.
Wozniacki was trading shots with Sasnovich behind the baseline when the world's No. 11 player hit a big, looping forehand that swung around her body and got caught in her braid. As she moved back to the center of the court, Wozniacki could not free the racket and subsequently could not tilt her head far enough to the left to allow her to return Sasnovich's shot and lost the point.
"I was like, okay, which way is it tangled?" Wozniacki said after the match, according to CBSSports.com "... I was like, maybe if I pull it, it will untangle itself. But it just didn't happen," she said. "I just laughed [when I saw the replay]. We women keep it interesting."

It turned out that the point was inconsequential as Wozniacki advanced to the third round of the Open with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Sasnovich. The victor will play 18th-seeded Andrea Petkovic in the third round.
Wozniacki poked fun at herself on her Twitter account after the match.
