Johnny Manziel got a taste of his own medicine on Saturday night. And he appreciated it.
USA TODAY Sports' For the Win reported on the encounter between Manziel and the other most talked about rookie in the 2014 NFL Draft, St. Louis Rams defensive end Michael Sam.

Sam sacked Manziel with 11:02 left in the fourth quarter of the Rams' 33-14 exhibition victory over Manziel and the Cleveland Browns. Sam beat Browns offensive tackle Martin Wallace and dropped Manziel for a 6-yard loss.
After the play, Sam made Manziel's money gesture, rubbing his fingers together, and then celebrated his sack. Manziel had made his money sign after scoring on a 7-yard scramble in the third quarter.

Sam, St. Louis' seventh-round draft choice, is attempting to become the first openly gay player in the NFL. For the Win reported that the play was Sam's second sack of the preseason. He also recorded a sack last week against the Green Bay Packers.
Manziel, one of the two Browns' first-round draft choices whose offseason exploits were reported on a weekly basis, took Sam's celebration in stride.
"He came up to me and said hello," Manziel said. "He's been heckled a lot. He played pretty well."
For the Win also reported that Sam is in a battle with undrafted defensive end Ethan Westbrooks for a final spot on the Browns' roster. Teams have until Aug. 30 to make their final cuts before settling on a roster for the season.
Manziel, meanwhile, will start the season as a backup to Brian Hoyer. Coach Andy Pettine has suggested that both Hoyer and Manziel could see playing time this season in a yet-to-be-determined platoon system.
