New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony believes the Knicks will be making heads turn next season and declaring that the team will be a playoff team next year.

The Knicks finished last season with a 37-45 season despite Anthony's average of 27 points a game. The team re-signed their franchise player to a $124 million, five-year contract and added veterans Jose Calderon and Samuel Dalembert and drafted rookie Cleanthony Early.

Anthony believes that the team has what it takes to turn things around.

"I'm not the type of guy that becomes bitter, but at the same time I know what I went through last year from an emotional standpoint and I don't want to feel that again," Anthony said via New York Daily News. "I put in all the work that I needed to and I'm still working."

He continued: "I don't think we will have another season like we had last year. When I say that, I believe that we will make the playoffs, that's where I'm coming from. I think we will have a much better season than we did last year."

He was not bold enough to predict the number of games that the Knicks would win next season, saying: "As far as putting a number on the games we want to win, it's hard to say that right now. But as far as us feeling good about this upcoming season, the way we feel I'm confident in what we're about to create. I believe we will be in the postseason."
