Mark Sanchez has performed well in the first two weeks of preseason for the Philadelphia Eagles as the backup to Nick Foles, but that doesn't mean he will be in Philadelphia for the long haul. According to reports, the Eagles are willing to listen to offers for Sanchez if a quarterback-needy team comes calling.

"What are you giving me?," Eagles coach Chip Kelly said in response to a question about trading Sanchez. "I mean we'll listen to anything for anybody. We aren't going to burry our head in the sand and say no. But it better be a pretty good deal. That isn't any part of our thought process. We need him."

DeSean Jackson wasn't getting teammates open in 2013?

Against the Patriots in Week 2 Sanchez completed 11 of his 12 pass attempts, and finished with 177 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. The week before, Sanchez was 7-of-10 for 79 yards with no touchdowns but also no picks.

"Mark has played well," Kelly said. "Nobody has called or asked us anything, so that isn't something we are talking about. Things that could happen, should happen, I don't know. But I know we are very confident in our quarterback situation. Probably better than a lot of teams because we have two guys that have actually played in games. I think Mark has 68 games under his resume, is playing at a really high level right now.

"Nick (Foles) is coming off of an outstanding season. We feel real confident. But I am also a big guy (in believing) you better have two quarterbacks in this league."

LeSean McCoy, Trent Cole scrap in training camp?

Sanchez's NFL career has been a mixed bag. He went to back-to-back AFC Championship games with the New York Jets in his first two NFL seasons, but has never statistically compared well to upper echelon passers.

The last time Sanchez was a starter was in 2012, when he finished the season with 13 touchdowns against 18 interceptions; he also threw for just 2,883 yards, the second-lowest total of his career and fewest yards since his rookie season.
