Tiger Woods finished the Open Championship near the bottom of the pack and posted the worst 72-hole finish of his career in a major. With a 5-over par score, should Tiger get another pass or should golf fans start to embrace a PGA Tour without him being a legitimate threat?

Many expected Woods to show some rust at the Open Championship, but when he choose not to partake in more tournaments leading up to the major expectations were high. Woods spoke about shaking off the rust and what he expected from the major as opposed to what occurred.

"I was certainly expecting it, yes, but I just thought that I know how to play links golf," Woods said. "I know how to grind it on these golf courses, and hitting the shots I thought I could get around here. I did the first day. After a bad start I got it back. And unfortunately, as I said, I made too many mistakes with the doubles and triples.”

This all-time low for Woods puts fans of the game at a crossroad concerning his play going forward. It has been six years since Woods has brought home a major championship and after a plethora of injuries it looks unlikely that Woods will be the intimidating force he once was.
