What: The Open Championship (British Open Day One)

When: Thursday, July 17

Where: Royal Liverpool GC - Hoylake, England

Live Stream: ESPN

The Open Championship tees off Thursday morning as golf’s best look to claim the PGA Tour’s next major championship. The usual suspects are in contention such as Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickelson and many others.

Tiger Woods is always the player to watch, but this weekend the spotlight will be at it’s brightest as Woods dominates Royal Liverpool GC and won the Open Championship on the course in 2006. The other golfers will look to rain on Tiger’s parade and take home a major championship in the process.

Lats years champion Phil Mickelson hasn't played his best golf this year, but being on a course that he is very familiar with could snap him out of his funk. Rory McIllroy is the odds on favorite to take the tournament at 7 to 1, but will Rory finally seize the day and be the golfer the world is waiting for him to be?
