Miami Heat point guard Shabazz Napier was once LeBron James’ favorite college player, but it seems the rookie wants nothing more to do with “The King.” Napier took to Twitter and unfollowed James and deleted all the tweets between the two.
Cavaliers Will Not Include Andrew Wiggins in Kevin Love Trade
James had openly expressed that he loves Napier’s style of play at UConn and that it was assumed that LeBron was pressuring the Heat to obtain the Husky by any means necessary. In an attempt to sway LeBron to re-sign with the Heat, Miami traded up in the draft for the rights to Napier. James then signed a two-year contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers over the free agency period.
Napier has struggled in his first few Summer League games, averaging 12 points per game to go along with 3.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 5.3 turnovers in 28 minutes a night. Napier has started all three games in the Orlando league, but has struggled to shoot the ball consistently as well as limit his turnovers.
Rockets Wanted to Sign Chris Bosh, Match Chandler Parsons
Napier is the second rookie to end his social media relationship with James, as Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid blocked LeBron after his recruiting pitches went unanswered.
Meanwhile, LeBron's highly endorsed draft pick, Shabazz Napier, is shooting 27.5 percent in ORL. He's 4 of 24 from three (16.7 percent).

Shabazz Napier unfollowing Lebron and then deleting his draft night tweet was childish. LBJ is the reason he got drafted in the first round. — Martin Brian Ansah (@DaAnsahonSports) July 14, 2014
