Tiger Woods will compete in this week's Open Championship and we will likely have a solid sense of how he is playing by the time we wake up Thursday. Woods, along with Argentina's Angel Cabrera and Sweden's Henrik Stenson, will tee off at 9:04 a.m. local time (4:04 a.m. ET) on Thursday.

Woods, who has only appeared in two rounds of golf this year, has already missed the Masters and U.S. Open because of back surgery. Woods will play with the same group and will tee off at 2:05 p.m. local time (9:05 a.m. ET) on Friday. Tiger took home the Open Championship the last time it was held at Royal Liverpool back in 2006.
Last year's Open winner, Phil Mickelson will tee off at 2:05 p.m. (9:05 a.m. ET) along with Masters winner Bubba Watson and Ernie Els, who has won two Open championships. Rory McIlroy is grouped with Hideki Matsuyama and Jordan Spieth and will start his round at 9:26 a.m. (4:26 a.m. ET).

Woods hasn't won a major championship since the 2008 U.S. Open and is seeking his 15th career major title. ESPN is offering a stream on ESPN3 that will solely follow Tiger and will switch to the top players on the leaderboard if he misses the weekend’s cut.
