As Josh Gordon awaits his fate at the hands of the NFL league office, his teammates and even Tyrann Mathieu have started to weigh in on Gordon's actions.

Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman reports that Gordon’s actions off the field have been met with mixed reactions among the Browns' players. Gordon spoke to a small group of his teammates last season after an incident and told the team that he would never be a problem again. Freeman was told by players that the team believed Gordon and thought he was a good man with some problems he needed to work out.

Gordon’s positive drug test and recent DWI arrest has burned some of the bridges now that he has broken his promise to his teammates. Freeman stressed that the locker room was sympathetic toward Gordon and want him to recover, but as far as being with the Browns, many are finished with him.

“They realize Gordon is sick. They want him to get better. They like him. But some of them, clearly, also now want nothing to do with him.”

Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu shared some words on NFL Total Access that helped him get through his own problems with addiction. Mathieu almost found himself out of football after multiple positive drug tests while at LSU, but has cleaned up act since being drafted by the Cardinals.

"Well, me having been through it, and having a little bit of experience with that, I don't think anybody in the world can possibly tell him anything," Mathieu said. "No one could tell me anything when I was going through it. I had to figure that out for myself.”

"Hopefully, he will get the point. Hopefully, he will get the message. But, most of the time it takes people to hit rock bottom for them to start believing in themselves, and start seeking help.”

Gordon is facing a season long suspension from the NFL after his positive drug test and it is unknown if his recent DWI will warrant any additional punishment. Some believe that Gordon will receive an indefinite suspension for his actions. This suspension would mirror that of Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon.
