LeBron James is officially starting his free agency tour, but unlike the other high-profile players in free agency, the front offices will come to him. James will host all his meetings in Las Vegas and Pat Riley will get the first crack at ‘The King.’
Riley is set to meet with James on Wednesday and reports are that he is ‘confident’ he can convince the 10-time All-Star to stay put. Riley’s confidence might misplaced though, as Sheridan Hoops is reporting that there is a 90 percent chance LeBron heads back to Cleveland.
The report cites that the writer has a source who is very close to the situation and he was 75 percent sure LeBron was going to return to the Cavaliers on Monday. According to the source, the reasons James is leaning toward the Cavaliers is Kyrie Irving and a chance to bring a championship to Cleveland.
“- There is nothing left for him to accomplish in Miami. He went there for four years, he went to the NBA Finals all four years, and he won two titles while learning what it takes to be a champion. Nobody can ever take that away from him.
- A chance to return home as a successful, seasoned adult with a chance to deliver the city of Cleveland its first championship in any sport since 1964 is too much of a legacy opportunity for James to pass up.
- And another thing: The best player he has a chance to team up with is named Kyrie Irving.”
Sheridan Hoops also believes that James will announce his decision on LeBron’s personal website and away from any cameras. James’ free agency sweepstakes is nearing an end, but the next few days could be one crazy ride.
