A new WWE World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned at Money in the Bank on June 29 at the TD Garden in Boston due to Daniel Bryan's neck injury healing slower than expected, and it appears as though he will tone down his wrestling style whenever he returns to in-ring action.

Fear Backstage That WWE May Release More Talents

Bryan underwent neck surgery in mid-May to repair a neck injury he sustained over years of wear-and-tear he put on his body due to his in-ring style. His original timetable for a return saw late-June as a best-case scenario and August as a worst-case scenario, but right now his status remains up in the air and he definitely won't be back this month.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, when Bryan returns, he may tone down his in-ring style. Reports indicate that there is talk backstage that Bryan is going to have to change his style upon coming back by slowing down and not performing as many risky moves as he used to in order to keep from re-injuring his neck.

Monday Night RAW Preview and Potential Spoilers

Bryan was slated to face Kane at Money in the Bank in a Stretcher Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but with his neck not healing at a quick enough rate for him to be healthy enough to return, the WWE had to change the plans around.

Now the belt will be on the line in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match rather than a briefcase as the winner will walk out with the gold itself instead of a contract for a future shot within the next year. Thus far, Alberto Del Rio, Cesaro, Sheamus, Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt are in the match while two more stars are expected to be added, one of which is likely to be John Cena.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that there is a feeling within the WWE that a heel will walk out of the pay-per-view with the belt rather than a babyface. Looking at the field, Del Rio, Orton, Cesaro and Wyatt can all be viewed as heels so one of them is likely to emerge as the new champion.

With Bryan being a face, it is likely that a heel will win the belt and Bryan will return to challenge them for it and eventually win it as a Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is slated to headline SummerSlam on Aug. 17 if Bryan is healthy enough to return by that point.

Lesnar, fresh off of ending The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX will likely win the title at SummerSlam because he's booked for that show through September's Night of Champions where he is likely to lose the belt.

Money in the Bank airs Sunday June 29 at the TD Garden in Boston and there is guaranteed to be a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
