The New York Giants have agreed to terms on one-year deals with wide receiver Louis murphy and linebacker Dan Connor, according to ESPNNewYork.com. The team announced both signings on Saturday.
"Being able to stay in the same division is great," Connor, who played for Dallas in 2012, said in a team release. "There are so many rivalries. It's a very competitive division to play in. I'm very excited to stay in it."
A source also told ESPN that the Giants have scheduled a visit with free-agent tight end Brandon Myers. The Giants will attempt to fill the vacancy left after Martellus Bennett, who caught 55 passes last season, left New York to join the Chicago Bears as a free agent earlier this week.
Murphy gives the Giants negotiating flexibility since Domenik Hixon and Ramses Barden are both free agents. The team also has tendered Pro Bowl receiver Victor Cruz, a restricted free agent, with a first-round pick.
