The St. Louis Rams and Minnesota Vikings have reportedly discussed a trade that would send the Rams starting quarterback Sam Bradford to the Vikings for multiple draft picks. This report comes in light of the Rams reportedly having “serious interest” in Johnny Manziel.

League officials believe that the Rams have had preliminary talks to trade Bradford to the Vikings, but the Rams have denied all reports. CBS’s Jason La Canfora believes that the Rams would only pull the trigger on such a deal if they landed the quarterback of their choosing, which many believe to be Manziel.

The Rams' interest in drafting a quarterback has only come in the past week or so when the Rams traveled down to College Station to workout all the Texas A&M prospects including Manziel. Many officials believe that Manziel would fit in great in St. Louis and could do for the Rams what Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick did for the Seahawks and 49ers, respectively.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher has wanted to establish the run in St. Louis since he arrived and now that he has a player like Zac Stacy to lead the backfield, Manziel could be the missing piece. Giving Manziel the keys to the Rams could be just what the Rams need and could use him as a player that would only throw the ball 20 to 25 times a game.

This trade could be a win-win for two quarterback needy teams in the Rams and Vikings. The Vikings would likely give up a second or third round pick and be able to use the No. 8 pick to draft a defender or another offensive weapon and Jeff Fisher gets his own guy at quarterback and puts his stamp on his team.
