It has been reported that Batista refused to face Daniel Bryan at the WWE Payback event that airs Sunday, June 1 live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago due to the fact that he didn't want to job to Bryan twice, and now more details have emerged regarding Batista's frustration with the company.

WWE Monday Night RAW Spoilers and Preview

Batista was slated to take time off following Sunday's Extreme Rules pay-per-view where he was pinned by Roman Reigns in a six-man tag team match between The Shield and Evolution, but the WWE reportedly wanted him to face Bryan at Payback before taking two months off to promote his upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie and returning in August for SummerSlam.

Batista reportedly turned the match down as he didn't want to lose to a smaller opponent in Bryan twice in a row after he tapped out to him at WrestleMania XXX. Batista reportedly felt that him losing to a smaller guy twice would be a bad way for him to enter his hiatus and would look bad with his blockbuster movie coming out.

Daniel Bryan To Take on Kane in a Buried Alive Match at Payback?

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Batista doesn't have a problem with Bryan but is upset with what's going on in the WWE right now. Batista is upset because things that he was promised when he re-signed with the WWE for the first time in four years haven't come to fruition and things are different than the way "The Animal" was told they were going to go.

The report also states that Batista, like many talents, isn't that happy with the money he is making for his return and that he has enough money where he doesn't need to work for the WWE anymore and can just walk out, kind of like CM Punk did when he quit the company in January due to his frustration.

It was reported when the WWE first brought in Batista that he'd win the Royal Rumble match and then beat Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX. While the Royal Rumble win came to fruition, the crowd totally turned on "The Animal," causing the WWE to turn him heel and add Bryan into the main event after he beat Triple H and then won the WWE Championship.

With Bryan as champion, Batista and Orton teamed up to re-form Evolution with Triple H as a heel stable. Batista is reportedly upset over this turn of events as he was promised a title reign.

The WWE worked hard at Extreme Rules to convince Batista to stay on the schedule through Payback in less than four weeks, however after initial impressions laid credence to the belief that he would stay with the company, word on his status at Extreme Rules was that it "wasn't looking good" that he'd stay.

Vince McMahon and WWE officials have tried to convince him to face Bryan at Payback, but reports indicate that a Bryan vs. Kane re-match from Extreme Rules is the backup plan, with a Buried Alive stipulation likely.

Batista is scheduled to appear on Monday Night RAW, but if his unhappiness is any indication, it may be the last time "The Animal" is seen in the WWE until August.
