Many fans may believe that the "YES! Movement" is responsible for Daniel Bryan being pushed into possibly main eventing WrestleMania XXX in just under three weeks in New Orleans, however the WWE may have other motives. According to reports, the WWE is pushing Bryan as a way to spite CM Punk, who walked out of the company on Jan. 27 prior to an episode of Monday Night RAW.

Punk hasn't appeared on WWE television since the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on the night before he walked out, and ever since he left the WWE had planned on throwing Bryan into Punk's planned match against Triple H at WrestleMania XXX.

The WWE has now added the stipulation that if Bryan wins that match he'll join the Randy Orton vs. Batista match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that it wasn't expected that Bryan would be pushed any further by the WWE, however something changed when Punk decided not to return to the company. According to the report, many people backstage went from a patient approach with Punk to thinking he is out of line for not returning and being a part of WrestleMania XXX.
According to the report, the "Yes! Movement" angle on RAW with Bryan last Monday and some of the verbiage used was directed to be a "middle finger" towards Punk and an underlying message that it could have been Punk getting the push and main event spot at the biggest show of the year but now it won't be.
Punk left the WWE due to his frustration with what he saw as misuse, especially around WrestleMania time when part-timers such as The Rock the last two years and Batista this year returned from years off to main event the biggest show of the year while guys like Punk and Bryan were sauntered down to the middle of the card.
Punk appeared on AMC's Talking Dead under his real name Phil Brooks Sunday night in his first television appearance since he left the WWE.
While the Bryan push is refreshing for many fans, there is more to it than meets the eyes as many believe the push is just to spite Punk.
