The Phoenix Suns are just a couple of games better than the cellar-dwelling Los Angeles Lakers. While the current year is another lost season for the organization, the road ahead seems to look promising. Aside from the fact that the squad is filled with up and coming players, two backcourt mates are establishing a bond on and off the floor.
Devin Booker, who is already 24th on the Suns' list of three pointers made, and Tyler Ulis are two of the pieces that Phoenix will likely invest in the future. The affinity between these two can be a big reason behind that approach. Even when not playing basketball, the duo continues to outdo each other. During a table tennis game, for instance, Ulis has cited the competitiveness of his good friend who keeps track on anything the two engage into.
It is easy to assume that Ulis and Booker's friendship just surfaced out of nowhere but the truth is these talented ballers have a history together. Both are members of the Kentucky Wildcats group that went 38-1 during the 2014-15 season.
The 20-year old Devin Booker has initially got competitive with NBA rookie Tyler Ulis in Middle School when they both attended a Nike Elite 100 camp in St. Louis. Their stretch together has been filled with funny sneak up escapades at their dorms.
Their comradeship also includes playing basketball on video games. The presence of Michael Jordan on the wall at Booker's place brings motivation to the NBA sophomore on just anything he confronts which includes computer plays like Call of Duty and 2K.
Although Ulis also plays a lot of video games, he likes to watch Devin Booker have fun. In fact, the latter's trash talking approach is also a kind of entertainment to the 21-year old rookie point guard.
Although their finances and popularity have soared, the Suns' backcourt duo prefers to stay low and take responsibilities as pros. Tyler Ulis, who is so far only averaging 13.4 minutes to go with 4 points, 1.5 rebounds and 3 assists per game, and Booker believes that hitting Vegas or staying in bars can probably wait.
