NCAA March Madness 2017: Bracket Predictions, Sleeper Teams, Everything You Need To Know

NCAA March Madness is finally upon us as teams compete for college basketball supremacy. But like all tournaments with a step ladder format where a single victory is the sole requirement to advance to the next round, upsets are bound to happen. Here are the teams experts feel have a good chance to make an upset.

According to Marc Tracy and Zach Schonbrun of the New York Times, the No. 14 ranked Iona Gaels can beat the No.3 Oregon Ducks in the NCAA March Madness. Oregon was favored to be the fist seed in the early part of the season but Chris Boucher's injury will affect the team's defense. Boucher leads the Pac-12 in blocks and his defensive prowess will surely be missed. The Duck's also has a shallow bench which the Gaels can take advantage of with their quick pace to wear down their opponents.

Last year's NCAA March Madness Cinderella team, the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders are also bound for an upset as 6 players from last year will be returning to face the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Coach Kermit Davis has instilled the importance of defense for the Blue Raiders and it's the reason why the team is consistently getting votes in the Top 25. It's time for them to prove that defense wins championships.

Lastly, Marquette has a great chance to upset South Carolina in this year's NCAA March Madness. South Carolina was seeded higher than was expected as they have lost 6 of their last 9 games. Marquette on the hand poses a balanced offense with 5 players averaging at least 10 points per game. They also lead the league in 3-point percentage and a hot shooting spree could spell the end for any team in the tourney.

Meanwhile, according to Bleacher Report, several teams are destined for deep runs in the NCAA March Madness. Among those included are East Tennessee State, UNC Wilmington, and Rhode Island. For betters who are feeling risky, these are the teams to look out for.
