NFL News: Tom Brady Launches 'TB12 Performance Meals' For Fans Who Wants to Follow His Diet

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is 39 years old but he is in great shape because of his vegetarian-based diet. Brady launched "TB12 Performance Meals" for people who want to follow his diet plan and stay healthy.

The five-time Super Bowl champion formed a partnership with the Massachusetts-based company, Purple Carrot, to launch "TB12 Performance Meals" that are designed to help athletes and active people stay in shape. The meals were developed by Tom Brady himself along with his team TB12 and Purple Carrot.

According to the official website of Purple Carrot, the recipes for the "TB12 Performance Meals" are plant-based but high in protein. It will also be free of gluten and highly processed ingredients while the use of refined sugars and soy are limited.

"Eating meals just like the ones we'll send out to our customers has really helped me stay at the top of my game," Tom Brady said in a statement on Purple Carrot's website.

Fans can pre-order now for $78 per week with the first boxes getting shipped on April 3. "TB12 Performance Meals" are going to be limited so athletes and active people should start reserving before slots are filled.

It should be noted that the meals are not precooked when delivered to people's doorsteps. The ingredients are already in a box, measured, sorted and ready to cook. A recipe card and notes, some even written by Tom Brady, are also included, per the Washington Post.

According to ESPN, Purple Carrot was founded by Andy Levitt and the company already put the phrase "Eat Like A Goat" on "TB12 Performance Meals." For those who does not get it, it's a double meaning since goats only eat plants while Tom Brady is considered as the greatest of all-time.

Besides the meal subscription business, Tom Brady has put his "TB12" initials on workout equipment, a bag of nuts and cookbook. The "TB12 Nutrition Manual" was launched last year but it has an absurd price of $200.
