Samsung Galaxy S8: Initial Shipments Doubled Than Galaxy S7, S6 Models

Samsung, the South Korean tech giant has doubled the first shipment of its most anticipated Galaxy S8 flagship, as per the recent reports. Although there are no official confirmations on its arrival yet, speculations are made that Galaxy S8 will hit the tech market on March 29, 2017. Many concepts, leaks and rumors are being surfaced on the internet and it is anticipated that Samsung will bring best features and specifications into Galaxy S8 Smartphone.

According to The Investor, it is reported that Samsung has doubled first shipments of Galaxy S8 which is almost 40 percent more compared to the Galaxy S7 Smartphone last year. The initial shipments of the Galaxy S8 are expected to reach 55 million until this year. Comparatively, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S6 were 48million and 45mllion shipments respectively.

Also, it is reported that Samsung Display, the firm's display-making unit, plans to supply 10 million units of organic light-emitting diode panels for the S8 and 6 million OLED panels for the larger S8 Plus in its first shipments during the January-March period.

So, it is believed that Samsung is taking up more and more OLED panels in fear of the possible shortage in the coming months, as it is assumed that Apple's new iPhone 8 will be the first OLED model and is speculated to be launched in September.

According to Tech Times, it is reported that the Galaxy S8 will not be coming with the flat-screen variants and the phone is speculated to have two variants-Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is speculated to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 processor and the recent report claims that Qualcomm has already collaborated with Samsung for the mass production of Snapdragon 835 chipsets and other devices which are likely to be unveiled before will not be featuring this processor.

The processor is expected to be coupled with 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM. The Galaxy S8 is rumored to jump to 64 GB instead of the 32 GB base model of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. A microSD card slot for expandable memory should be on board as well, just like on the 2016 generation.

There is no official information on the Galaxy S8; however, readers are requested to take all the leaks and rumors with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates
