Samsung is no doubt one of the well-known smartphone makers in the whole world today. Their Galaxy S series phones are one of the most sought-after smartphones in the market. And now, as they gear up for their flagship phone this year, the Galaxy S8, the company reveals some good news and bad news for it.
Every year, the company manufactured and release a wide variety of products that includes the smartphones. And as the competition to smartphone technology is getting higher, Samsung sees to it that they are abreast with top rival companies such as Apple when it comes to updates. Now, recent reports revealed some latest update for upcoming Galaxy S8 that is expected to be released this year.
According to Forbes, after hearing some good news about the Galaxy S8 for a couple of months, there is also relatively bad news that comes along with it. An anonymous senior official of Samsung earlier disclosed that the Galaxy S8 will feature a 5.8-inch display while the Galaxy S8 Plus will sports a 6.2-inch display but the issue comes with its battery.
The senior official exposed that Samsung decides to install a 3000 mAh battery for Galaxy S8 while the Galaxy S8 Plus will be using a 3500 mAh which fuels the concern for the consumers' safety. It is no secret that this kind of battery was pinpointed to be the reason behind the Galaxy Note 7 exploding fiasco that force Samsung to recall of all the said items.
As per initial investigation, 'high energy density' coming from the phone components may have caused the battery ignite. And to correct this flaws, Samsung decided to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that will somehow reduce the battery capacity of the said devices and keep the safety of end users. However, aside from the battery concern, another bad news was divulged on a separate report.
According to BGR, as the Samsung Galaxy S8 is set to uncover late next month in New York City and will eventually be available two months from now, the phone is said to be losing the physical home button on the front and will be replaced by a ridiculous fingerprint scanner.
The fingerprint sensor is said to be located at the back of the device which is an unusual position for a new feature but the design is still not final and still subject to change. Good news or bad news, Samsung Galaxy S8 seems to be still the best smartphone that will be available in the market based on its reported specs and design.
