BlackBerry Mercury: Know The Incredible Phone From BlackBerry (TCL)

BlackBerry, the Canadian multinational company might be planning to launch its newest flagship BlackBerry Mercury at the Mobile World Conference (MWC) 2017. The BlackBerry (TCL) is reported to have a press conference on Saturday, February 25, 2017. The flagship is seen with many rumors since it was mentioned at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January.

According to Stuff TV, the device will be manufactured by TCL which is now the exclusive manufacturer of BB-branded devices in most markets.  The new flagship is codenamed as BlackBerry Mercury and no further details are revealed yet.

BlackBerry Mercury is being surfaced on the internet with many leaks and rumors. One of the leaks is a character named Michael Baxter (played by Tim Allen) in the show Last Man Standing was seen using one in an episode. Also, it is noted in the report that other characters on the show can be seen using other models from the Canadian firm such as the DTEK60.

According to Uber Gizmo, it is reported that BlackBerry Mercury features a 4.5-inch display having 4:3 aspect ratio, a front-mounted-touch-sensitive QWERTY keyboard which can be used as a trackpad, a fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone port, a USB Type-C port as well, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and a powerful 3,400 mAh battery and an onboard storage of 32GB.

Also, reports claim that the BlackBerry is expected to run with Google's latest Android Nougat version which brings perks like native split-screen apps, Vulkan graphics support, and myriad other important tweaks throughout.

The BlackBerry Mercury promises the "most complete end-to-end Smartphone security available on Android," which will be ideal for business and other users concerned about digital attacks.

There is no official information on the specifications and features of BlackBerry Mercury flagship; however, readers are requested to take all the leaks and rumors with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates
