Apple Inc. the Cupertino tech giant is expected to arrive with new iMac 2017. Many speculations were made in the previous year related to iMac and enthusiasts were indeed waiting for the official announcements in the Apple's previous year events.
Presently, speculations are made that iMac 2017 will soon be announced at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2017. However, conflicting reports suggest that Apple might not be able to release the said device on time as it is currently working on its design and it might delay the launch to October.
According to Mac World, Apple is reported to be gearing up towards upgrading its desktops and based on the statement from Apple CEO Tim Cook "The desktop is indeed very strategic for the company" indicates that the company has something different in the store for the iMac enthusiasts.
Also, Cook revealed that Apple has great desktops in its roadmap and claimed that desktops from Apple are unique compared to the notebook and packs a lot more performance.
Cook also stated that the desktop could have the largest screens, the most memory, and storage, a greater variety of I/O, and delivers the fastest performance. Also, Cook boasted the current generation iMac, which is the best desktop the company has ever made with its unrivaled Retina 5K display.
As per the report, the new iMac is expected to sport a 27-inch display, a 32GB of memory, and a colossal 2TB Fusion Drive. Also, the new iMac will pack AMD's Polaris 10, which offers enhanced graphics performance as well as potential reductions in power consumption. These chipsets are said to appear in the new desktops and notebooks from Apple, which the company plans to bring to the market this year.
Based on the recent unveiling of the long-awaited Kaby Lake Processors it is expected that the iMac 2017 will feature 4.2GHz Intel Core i7-7700 Kaby Lake chip. This chipset will allow the iMac 2017 users have VR experience.
