Dell announced an upgraded model of XPS 15 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017. The refreshed version XPS 15 laptop is now available online purchase for $999. The most popular device from Dell is tremendously upgraded with best specifications and features.
The device is reported to be measuring in at a slim 11-17mm and weighs just 4 pounds (1.8 kg) along with the incorporation of a solid state drive. The company claims that the XPS 15 is the world's lightest 15-inch performance-class laptop.
According to DELL, the entry level XPS 15 9560 comes with a 15.6-inch InfinityEdge display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The machine is powered by the seventh-generation Intel Core i3-7100H processor with Intel HD Graphics 630 and 8 GB of RAM, a 500 GB of hard disk drive (HDD) with 32 GB of solid state drive (SSD) memory and the device comes with Windows 10 Home operating system (OS). The entry level XPS 15 9560 has a price tag of $999.
For consumers who need a powerful device, Dell is offering GTX 1050 graphics card, along with seventh-generation Intel Core i5-7300HQ quad-core processor, 1 TB of HDD storage and the Windows 10 Pro OS at $1249.99. The device is priced at $1,449.99 and is reported to have a seventh-generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ quad-core processor and 256 GB PCIe SSD storage.
The top end model of the XPS 15 9560 has a 15.6-inch UltraSharp 4K Ultra HD InfinityEdge touch display with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. It also comes with the seventh-generation Intel Core i5-7300HQ quad-core processor and 256 GB of PCIe SSD storage and costs $1,649.99.
The device also has one HDMI, two USB 3.0 with PowerShare and one Thunderbolt which supports Power In / Charging, PowerShare, Thunderbolt 3 (40GbpsBi-Directional), 3.1 USB Gen 2 (10Gbps), VGA, HDMI, Ethernet and USB-A via Dell Adapter (Sold Separately).
The device is incorporated with a widescreen HD (720p) webcam with dual array digital microphones, full size backlit chiclet keyboard; 1.3mm travel, precision touchpad, and seamless glass integrated button.
